With over 25 years of HR experience, Sarah is an award-winning fellow of the CIPD. She has worked in senior roles in various sectors, including protective services, retail, financial services, and railway.
Sarah has worked at Securitas for ten years and has been the UK HR Director for the last five years.
Combining HR expertise with a passion for people and employee engagement. She is particularly interested in diversity, inclusion, belonging, earning and development, and health and well-being for all. As someone that is diagnosed with ADHD, she understands the barriers that can be in place for an employee with a different brain and this is one of the driving factors behind making a difference to the working lives of the employees at Securitas.
Over recent years, Securitas employee experience has become industry leading with engagement and retention at record levels. This has been achieved by making learning and development available to all employees, leadership development for all people managers, a wellbeing strategy that has their people supported in financial, physical and emotional wellbeing and a diversity and inclusion strategy that saw the first employee networks and the first development programme specifically for helping underrepresented employees reach their potential. These initiatives among others have seen Securitas UK shortlisted as a finalist for multiple awards over the past 5 years.
Sarah is also one of the Co-Founders and Directors of Running on Empty a Community Interest Company created to help people working in the Security industry find emotional wellbeing through physical exercise, predominantly running.
